Hair defines the 95 percent look of any person
either male or female. You can put on a full face of makeup but still not look
perfect if your hair is not being taken care of.
Almost every single person on this
earth loves hair the most and wants to have healthy and shinny manageable hair
either in short or long length. But with different types of hair come different
issues. Some people have naturally healthy hair that grow fast but on the other
hand there is a percentage of people whose hair become rough, frizzy and dry
causing extreme damage in the form of hair loss or baldness.
There can be many
reasons of unhealthy hair that begin with a poor diet to not taking proper care
of hair. Extreme use of hair styling gels, sprays or heating tools can also
cause extreme damage to healthy hair when done on a daily basis or very often.
Just like Nighttime skincare
routine, we also have a Nighttime Hair Care Routine that is actually really
beneficial for hair health and can help you get rid of every problem related to
your hair.
In this blog post, I am
going to list down the Nighttime Hair Care Routine For getting healthy, shiny
and fast growing hair.
Let’s begin our blog post!
Best Night Time Hair Care Routine
For Healthy Hair And Faster Hair Growth
1. Deep Conditioning The Hair
Your hair does not need
a conditioner after washing it during shower only. If you want super healthy
and thick, long hair then you really need to start deep conditioning your hair
almost once or twice a week at night time.
There are so many masks and deep
conditioners available in the market that you can put on your hair and sleep
with it, whilst the chosen product repairs your hair and makes it stronger.
My best pick for deep condition
includes the natural oils like coconut oil, olive oil or a mixture of three to
four oils including castor oil to help the faster growth of hair naturally.
If you really want a
change in your hair health, then you definitely need to include using a deep
conditioner in the nighttime hair care routine for your hair. The best thing to
do will be using a deep conditioner on nights before the day you want to wash
your hair. Put in the products, sleep with it and then wash it the next morning
with Luke warm water.
Just try this routine twice a week for one month and
you will see the change in your hair for sure.
2. Put Your Hair In Safe Hair Style When You Sleep
You may love to keep
your hair up whole day whilst you are working, but just like your body needs a
break from high heels and tight clothes when you want to sleep, your hair also
needs a break from the tight hair styling of hours.
You can keep your hair
untied whilst you sleep if you are someone who does not move a lot, but the
most safe option would be to put your hair in a loose braid when you go to
sleep. Braiding your hair loosely is the most given advice by our elders and
also by hair experts and it is my personal favorite options too.
If you do not know how to braid or
you do not like to put your hair in a braid to end up with wavy hair in the
morning, then wearing comfortable scrunchie will be the best option for your
hair. They are not harsh on the hair and hold them in one place without putting
too much pressure on the hair.
3. Comb Your Hair Before Hitting The Sack
Always comb your hair
before getting into the bed. You may feel lazy to do so every single night, but
trust me combing your hair every night before going to sleep will not only
detangle the hair but you will also help the natural oils of your scalp to
diffuse inti the hair length making the hair stronger and healthy.
Your best option can be using a
detangler or a wooden comb to detangle to your hair from hair length to your
roots.
Combing your hair
before hitting the sack will be the most necessary step for the nighttime hair
care routine.
4. Use Silk Pillows
Using silk pillows can never run out of the remedies
that help to keep the hair frizz free and shiny.
Using cotton or other fabric pillow
cases can cause friction to your hair thus damaging them slowly. But on the
other hand if you use a silk pillow, you provide your hair with a support that
does not cause friction for them making the brittle or damaged whilst you take
turns in your sleep.
So if you want Rapunzel
like beautiful long, healthy and shiny hair, then replace your pillow cases
with silk pillow cases and watch the change in your hair in few days.
5. Change You Bed sheets & Pillow Covers Often
Using one bed sheet or
pillow cover for more than one week can really prove unhealthy for you hair. Pillow
covers and bed covers can catch the dust from the environment and not just
that, they can also have bacteria living on them.
Not changing the bed covers or
pillow cases every few days can be damaging for your hair and scalp.
Always make sure to
change your pillow covers and bed sheets every few days before you go to sleep
to help your hair stay healthy and damage free.
6. Never Sleep With Wet Hair
If you are someone like
me who does a 8 to 9 hours job and always takes regular showers as soon as they
come back home. Then you really need to have this issue figured out.
If you wash your hair in the
evening then make sure to dry them completely before you sleep. Wet hair can be
really vulnerable and can break easily if you sleep with wet hair.
If you have taken a
shower right before getting into the bed and your only option is to dry the
hair using heating tools like hair drier, then do not forget to use a heat
protectant serum on your hair before using a hair drier.
Never sleep with wet hair!
7. Get Your Beauty Sleep For Naturally Beautiful Hair
Yes! You read it right. A beauty
sleep is not only associated with skin and face!
Your hair need time to
regenerate with a good night’s sleep as much as your skin needs a good night
sleep for its repairing and regeneration.
Therefore make sure to get 7 to 8
hours of sleep every single night for getting luscious, silky, thick and
healthy hair that will stay with you forever.
With this, I will also
like to mention that you should never forget to keep taking a good balanced
diet and multi vitamins including biotin as per your doctor recommendations to
help the growth and health of your hair become better faster.
