Pre-Wedding Bridal Skincare Routine

Undoubtedly, we all females are used to of taking care of our skins on a regular basis. But when it comes to your wedding, it becomes the most hyped and priority task for every single bride to be to maintain a skincare routine that is advised for brides to be and glow like a goddess on her wedding day.

Whilst some prefer to visit salons to maintain their skincare routine or get professional advice to follow at home, some of the brides are still doubtful about what is the most essential skincare routine that is not only universal but also includes some holistic approach to it, because when it comes to skin, we all are very well aware that long term use of chemicals filled creams and serums are not loved by every single female on this earth and a huge portion amongst us prefer natural products or homemade skincare regimens.

To curtail your bridal skincare routine confusion, YourDesiBee has come up with the world’s best Pre-Wedding Bridal Skincare Routine that every single bride will love to follow even after their big day.

Let’s begin with the Bridal Skincare Routine that will never grow old!

1. Hydrate Your Body & Skin

Hydration is an essential part for every skincare savvy person. You can never expect your makeup to be smooth and long lasting if your skin is not properly hydrates. Sometimes you may think that you can cover up this issue by using heavy moisturizers, but that can never help to get the absolute wonderful base that a naturally hydrated skin can get.

Two of my sisters had dry skin and I suffered so much anxiety and issues whilst doing their party makeovers as the foundation would not stay or crack up. But the next time when one of them had to get married and chose me as her makeup artist, my first demand from her was to start hydrating her skin, drink loads of fluids and water and intake diet that provides hydration to her body. I also advised her to use moisturizer on a daily basis as she used to skip on that part for her face in her skincare regimen.

Trust me she followed through the hydration process few months before her wedding and all of her four days bridal makeup turned out super flawless and long lasting. The base application was a piece of cake than the previous experience I had with her.

Hence drink lots and lots of water and eat a healthy diet and incorporate fruits and green vegetables plus smoothies that hydrate your skin from inside out. Also do not forget to use a suitable moisturizer for your skin on a daily basis.

2. Use Ice On Your Face Every Week

No one can deny the benefits of ice or ice cold water for skin and natural anti-aging process. Many famous actresses have been fond of this technique where they used to dip their face in ice cold water every morning to look younger and flawless.

I, as a beauty enthusiast and a makeup artist love using ice for skin loads. Even though I do not get to do this every single day, but I try to make my natural face packs like tomato & potato juice mixed with a pinch of turmeric and freeze them in ice cube trays. Every other day or twice or thrice per week, I use these cubes to massage my face, which not only helps to make my skin scar free & bright but also help with its anti-aging properties along with a permanent natural glow.

Just like me, you can either use natural homemade DIY face packs as ice cubes or simply use normal ice cubes to massage your skin daily a month earlier than your wedding day.

Trust me you will love the effects and the way your makeup look will turn out.

3. Avoid Stress

I know wedding can be stressful, especially for brides to be. But another favorite tip or advice for you from my side will be to avoid stress.

Stress can do more harm than any other thing during your wedding preparations. You can actually get a breakout because of stress or you may end up not eating well or sleeping well which may impact your skin directly.

Hence try to avoid stress and share your worries with your bride’s maids or your friends and family. Divide your duties and maintain a planner so you know what tasks are done and what needs to be done next. This way you will be highly organized and reduce the chances of stress and acne breakout or lack of sleep and eye bags eventually.

4. Eat A Healthy Diet

Make sure to avoid junk foods and prefer eating clean. I will not ask you to eat salads only and forget your spicy meals or cheat meals. You can have fun and eat outside once a week but make sure that you are eating healthy homemade clean food for the other six days and incorporate milk, water and fresh homemade juices in your diet as well along with seasonal fruits.

5. Take Regular Showers

Most of us already follow regular showering routine, but in case if you do not follow this already then try to take daily showers a month prior to your wedding. Exfoliate your body once or twice a week and moisturize your whole body on a daily basis.

You should also incorporate using natural body and skin masks like Ubtan twice or thrice a week till your wedding day. If you are not aware of Ubtan, then let me tell you that it a pure natural mask used in Asian societies, formulated specially for brides. It does not only make your skin soft but also makes it glow like a goddess.

If you have not heard about Ubtan, I will recommend you buying it regardless of your origin or country. Every bride should try this either a desi or a western bride.

You will thank me for mentioning this product and will love to use it even after your wedding. I still use it generally for my face and body very often and swear by its benefits.

6. Use Face Masks & moisturizers

Incorporate face masks as a must follow routine before your wedding. You can either try natural face masks or face packs of you can also try store bough masks and sheets masks to help boost the hydration process and improve skin elasticity.

I will also advise you to not skip moisturizer any single day before you wedding day. Even if you are someone with an oily skin, your skin does need a moisturizer. Hence get yourself a suitable moisturizer as per your skin type and keep using it on a daily basis.

7. Take Regular Facials

Personally, I am not a fan of facials as they make my skin break out no matter how much expensive or luxurious they are, but I will recommend facials for brides to be as a must. You can opt for Herbal facials like I do, if your skin is super sensitive. But do visit a professional in your area and get your skin checked up and take your required two or three facials before your wedding day as prescribed by the professionals.

These may not seem like a big deal for you, but they help your makeup artist a lot as your skin is super prepared for a smooth foundation base if you have gone for facials before your wedding.

8. Exercise Or Walk For Some Minutes

I am not a believer of slim and skinny brides are the only best brides and I hate body shaming. Every body type is beautiful. My only reason to mention exercising and walking on a daily basis is to keep your body on the move and fresh.

Going out for a walk every morning will not only freshen up your mood but you will also get some alone time to think out about your feelings and imagine all the beautiful things this marriage will bring in your life.

Try to make these few minutes of morning walk and exercise or meditation fun only. You are not doing it to reduce your fat  but to get freshen up and take fresh oxygen and send positive vibes to your body and mind.

9. Sleep Properly

A proper sleep is the most essential part of Pre-Wedding Skincare routine. A tired and worn out bride will not glow or fresh either it’s her skin or her mood and behavior.

Hence make sure to sleep properly on a daily basis and do not be sleep deprived at all. Completing your required 8-10 hours of sleeping hours will not only keep you fresh and tireless, but you will always be on the go with fresh mood for your bridal activities and your skin and body will also thank you for having proper bedtime and sleep schedule.

These were the major Pre-Wedding Bridal Skincare Routine Tips that I give every single bride around me. Trust me these are the only tips that will help you create your own Bridal Skincare Routine that will become super easy and high maintenance routine any bride can follow without causing you any extra money to seek a professional advice or buy any plan to follow before your wedding day.

If you have someone in your friends or family who is getting married soon, do share this article with that beauty and also do not forge to share your feedback if you tried it yourself and found it helpful and wonderful at the same time!
