Travelling is fun but packing for travelling can always end up being the most worry some and tiring activity. Especially when you are a woman and you need to carry your makeup along with you because you have to stay ready with makeup on your vacation or even a business traveling tour.

 

In this blog post, I am going to enlist some Travel Makeup Products that every one must carry with them. I will also keep adding tips and trick to use one product in several different ways, so you do not end up taking a separate bag carrying your whole makeup collection.

 

We can use few products to create beautiful makeup looks and if you will carefully go throught the list of my travel makeup products and the way I use them and want you all to use them, you will never have to worry about what makeup to take with you on your long traveling trips.

Travel Makeup Products To Carry In Your Makeup Bag

 

 

1. Foundation

 

When it comes to makeup, our very first priority is a good foundation base that helps us to crate a canvas for a smooth makeup application.

When it comes to travelling, I will suggest you guys to take along just one foundation that has high coverage and is usually in a tube form or a stick based foundation, because these two types of packaging are durable and you do not fear of damaging your product whilst traveling.

The major reason why I am asking you guys to pack a heavy coverage foundation is because it can be applied really less to create low coverage look or can be used to create heavy coverage as well.

My most favorite picks for foundations include Kryolan TV Paint Stick & Miss Rose Purely Natural  Foundation from the drugstore brand miss rose. Both these foundations work great. First one has a durable plastic packaging with stick formula, whereas miss rose foundation has glass packaging but it does not really require a concealer and is enough to act as the best foundation base that conceals everything and so is the case with Kryolan as well. Both are heavy coverage and I can pick and take any one and it will last me for every look.

 

 

 

2. Concealer Or Corrector

 

Some of us have discoloration on their face that can be seen through even heavy coverage foundations or they may become grey without the application of a corrector or concealer before a foundation.

For you guys I will recommend you to take along any concealer that you can use to highlight your under eyes, Chin or even use it to shape eyebrows but as far as a corrector is needed, I will always advise you to take either a tube corrector that may fit your need if you have discoloration due to PCOS or any other health condition, or you may also not take any corrector with you if you only have huge corrector pallets. And switch your option with a lipstick instead.

Yes, an orange or a red lipstick does the job of correcting any discolorations before the application of you foundation. So you can easily opt for taking two or three lipsticks that can include red, peach and orange shade as they all work well for color correction.

 

 

 

3. Face Powder OR Loose Powder

 

I always suggest and choose loose powders when packing a setting powder for travel makeup kit. The packagings are great, no fall out product that can break. Plus loose powder provides the best canvas to work on, and trust me I use it on my whole face on a regular basis and not just for baking. You need tiny bit to set your whole face.

 

 

 

4. Blush, Contour & Highlighter

 

Always try to pack as much little makeup as possible whilst travelling. Now for blush, contour and highlighter, I will recommend you guys to invest in a product that has all three. For example Smashbox The Cali Contour Palette has everything from a contour powder to a highlighter and blush options.
 
One great benefit of such pallets is that they can be used as eye shadows as well. You can easily use highlighter as a transition or base shade, then use contour shade in your crease area of eyes and add your blush shade as the next best shade to sit on your lid as a cut crease or can be used in the inner corners to create colorful eye corners with bold eyeliner look.

 

 

 

 

 

5. Eyeliner & Mascara

 

Always pack mascara and a pencil eye liner. Why I love a pencil eye liner is because they are generally really thin and take less space, plus they are very easy to apply than gel liners or liquid eye liners. So you save a lot of time in doing perfect winged eyeliner whilst you are travelling.

Mascara is also a must to take in a travel makeup kit. These two will be essential, because you may not use any makeup on your lazy days, but mascara and eye liner will always help you look decent in any dress or event even if you did not have the time to do full on makeup.

 

 

 

6. Brow Gel Or Brow Pen
 

Always pack a brow pen with you. Just like hairstyle completes half of the look for any person, makeup requires good brows to look complete and elegant. I recommend taking brow pens because they are easy and quick to use and apply and also they are generally thin and take very less space in your travel makeup kit or travel makeup bag.

 

 

 

7. A Nude Eye Pencil & A Kajal Pencil

 

These two are really essential because baby you cannot ignore your water line. A beautiful water line accentuates any makeup look. Though you may not want to go for nude eyes on a daily basis but imagine if you are on a vacation and you suddenly get invited to a glam party, would not you like to have big eyes with nude eyeliner in water line?

So these two options will do great and should be in your travel makeup kit.

 

 

 

8. Eye Shadow Palette

 

If you are like me who can take the best out of a Contour, blush and highlighter pallet then you might not consider packing another pallet. But if you really want to go for different eye looks and this travelling tour is basically for a family wedding following many parties and functions, then you might want to pack one small pallet that will serve all the looks.

I basically try to take a palette that is small in size and has 16-20 colors including mattes and shimmers and must have brown, red, peach and pink colors along with golden and silver shimmery eye shadow options.

 

You can try Makeup Revolution palettes or Huda Beauty Palettes but my personal favorite and the most inexpensive palette that I ever purchased was Miss Rose 011M3 Eye Shadow Palette.

 

Trust me this palette can do wonders in creating a no-makeup makeup looks as well as in creating the most bold eye shadow looks one can create.

 

You can either keep this single option of palette or anything similar to it and then add one or two powder glitters and a glitter glue just in care if you are attending a wedding and you want to go all glam and glittery.

 

 

9. Lipstick Or Lip Tints

 

When it comes to lipsticks, Always go for three colors as a must including Red, Pink and Brown or Peach color. These cannot only act as lipsticks, but can also be used as blush or correctors. You can always pack three to four lipsticks options along with one lip balm or a lip tint for regular no-makeup look which comprises of mascara, eye line and lipstick.

 

 

10. Makeup Application Tools

 

I will not suggest packing a whole set of makeup brushes. Instead take one beauty blender, One powder brush, One contour, highlighter and one blush brush.

You may carry one blending brush if you are not good with doing your eye makeup using fingers and a spoolie is also a must because we cannot ignore our eye shadows.

Along with these tools you might want to get an eye lash curler. I did not mention eye lashes anywhere because most of us already get eye lash extensions. But in case you do not like having permanent extensions, then you may want to take some eye lashes with you as well.
